Additional Information – Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How thick is it supposed to be?
A: Fussy Dog Gravy powders are made to be similar to a sauce – dogs don’t mind how thick or runny it is, they just want the great flavours! After mixing with boiling water, the gravy will thicken up as it cools. You can also thicken it further if required by continuing to boil the mixture either in a saucepan or in a microwave before letting it cool.
Q: Can my cat eat it?
A: Yes! Although it is designed for dogs’ tastes, every flavour of Fussy Dog Gravy contains greenshell mussels, an excellent source of taurine for cats. Cat’s can be even fussier than dogs though, and it will be up to their tastes if they like it or not. Letting them try some by licking it off your finger can be a good way to introduce the gravy.
Q: My dog is on a special diet. Can they eat this?
A: Our chicken, peanut, and banana formulation has very low fat and sodium levels and so is perfect for many dogs with special dietary requirements. You should always consult with your vet before adding new foods to your dog’s diet. Our human-grade nutrient panels mean we have complete transparency with what you are feeding your little pal.
Q: Is the milk powder bad for dogs?
A: It is the lactose in milk which some dogs can have problems with. Our recommended serving size contains the equivalent lactose of about a teaspoon of normal milk. This is well under the AKC guidelines for how much lactose is a safe treat for dogs.
Q: What is the QR code on the label?
A: Scan the QR code then click on your jar’s batch number to see photos of the ingredients that have gone into the jar you are holding in your hand.
